Atom/Pee Wee Hockey Academy

Do something extrodinary this hockey season join the Pacific Rim Atom/Pee Wee Hockey Academy! Operating weekdays out of Pitt Meadows Arenas as a right after-school development program. Entering our 5th year we have helped hundreds of young players both male and female achieve superior hockey skills and maintain their committment to their academics.

An instructor participant ratio of 1-6 with the program taught by certified professional instructors. The cost $160/month or $1,600 for the entire year 10 months! That is over 125 hours of instruction for $13 per hour!
 
We have have a few openings left for those interested in our Atom/Pee Wee Elementary Hockey Academy. This academy is open to all players/students and operates as a right after school program.

We have 36 spots taken with room for a few more! If you are looking for a technical hockey program that teaches all hockey skills and encourages strong academic grades this hockey academy is for you.
 
Entering our 5th year! (PREHA) has developed a program and curriculum that provides students the opportunity to balance their educational requirements while developing  their hockey skills. This program is available for students grades 4, 5 (Atom) 6 & 7 (Pee Wee).  Offered as a right after school program participants attend weekly sessions for development and play their minor hockey with their respective associations.
 
Update: Please note we have secured ideal icetime for the elementary hockey academy this Fall.
 
Group 1 Mondays & Wednesdays on ice 3:30-4:30pm & off ice 4:45-5:45pm
 
 
Group 2 Tuesdays & Thursdays on ice 3:45-4:45pm & off ice 5:00-6:00pm
 
We allow flexibility to move from group to group based on your sechedule and other outside committments.

Wednesdays & Thursdays - Puck Skills

 

 
Please note a $200 deposit is required at the time of registering  the actual cost of the Hockey Academy is $1,600 per year.
 

 
PREHA provides personalized instruction that educates and develops students in both the physical and mental aspects required to excel in hockey.
 
 
Academy Goals:
  • Obtain the highest academic standard possible.
  • Acquire hockey skills to play at the level desired.
  • Develop their fitness/wellness levels for hockey.
  • Develop their interpersonal skills for school, hockey & home life.
  • Develop a strong sense of community.
  • Develop physical/social skills through Leisure opportunities.
 
A closer Look
  • On Ice Development 2 hours of on ice per week Power Skating, Puck Skills and Team Tactics
  • Off Ice Development 1 hour per week-train properly and safely for hockey and general fitness.
  • Building Good Community Citizens - Involvement in community activities/special events.
  • Special Events & Outings - The opportunity to participate in a variety of special events and outings that encourages social interaction with their peers and strengthens each players character.
  • Connecting Academics & Hockey - Academics is a priority. In cooperation with parents, players, Faculty and academy staff we monitor the students performance. Good grades must be maintained or risk the reduction and participation within the academy.
  • Code of Conduct - Students are held 
     
    accountable for their actions.
  • Measuring our Success - Tracking each students on ice and off ice performance throughout the year.
 
Program Specifics:
• Academy operates the same as the school year Sept-June
• The Hockey Academy is co-ed and inclusive
• There is the possibility of grouping and tiering
• Program Cost is $1,600 anually Or $160.00 per month (Sept-June)
• We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express or cheques.
• There are no additional costs.
• The program is available to 4 goaltenders per group
• The Class size will be 20-24 participants including goaltenders.
• Registration is offered on a first come first served basis.
• Cancellations/Refunds-No refunds provided after November

Centennial School District 43 Hockey Academy-Update

We are pleased to announce that we have secured our second block of ice time at Coquitlam enabling us to offer two blocks of board approved hockey academy next September. The ice times set aside are Mon, Wed, and Fri 10:30-11:30am and        12:00-1:00pm

These two academy groups will provide academic credits for the student’s participation. One of the two groups will be upper-ended for the advanced level players.

In addition to the above the hockey academy hosted by Centennial is also available and able to accept students from Charles best.

There have been rumors of the academy being an early morning or before school program, this is not the case the times have been firmed up and integrated within the normal time table and as a result we are getting new registrations.
